Street project

We had a street photography project on my course. I had a few ideas.
Firstly i wanted to create urban landscapes with a feeling of emptiness in Nadav Kander style. He is one of my favourite photographers. His website
Then i was thinking to work a bit in reportage style. However I realised that i am not really comfortable to photograph people how are not awarded of me. So i decided to photograph someone i know.
I called my friend Poli Titarenko and ask her to pose for a few portraits on the street. I love your outfits! She studies menswear at Central Saint Martins.

This is the result :D

Solrun

Last year i lived with an amazing person from Iceland!
Unfortunately Solrun is not in London anymore.
It was fantastic time for me to see her almost every day, to hear her jokes, listen advices.
I still remember all this funny moments when we occasionally didn't understand each other, probably because my english was too bad at that time.
I still remember how she liked to say: 'I can't concentrate on my homework in my room' :D
I still remember how she advised to make a schedule for cleaning our house. Now i do same thing with my new flatmates.
Solrun was a fantastic friend, which i will never forget.

Solrun, I miss you so much!!! :'(
Take care!
I hope you are alright!

She was my muse for a while.
There are some pictures i took of Solrun
She has beautiful face and tender personality

Hello :+)

Hello, my name is Dennis
I am a fashion photography student at London College of Fashion.

My initial interest in photography was born at the age of 12. I took pictures of my friends, family and nature. I was too young at that moment to realise how seriously I would want to persue photography in a couple of years.
One day, I walked down the street on my way home and I sighted so many potentially beautiful images all around me. I realized then how amazing it is to be able to document beauty that you come across and have a permanent record.
After graduating from high school, my parents presented me my first SLR - Pentax MZ-7. I bought a macro lens and started to photograph flowers in my parents garden. I printed photos in large formats and started displaying it on the wall because I was proud of my work.
During my studies at Medical Academy (yes i have a degree in pharmacy!!! can you imaging??? it's a long story..) I was interested in skate and snowboard photography. I was a skater and snowboarder, but it was basically a way of getting around than a deep seated passion. I used it as a way to get to places to take pictures, to learn tricks and meet new people. I usually showed, printed and presented the work to them.
Then i worked as a night life photographer. It was an amazing experience for me because i learned how to work with light and cameras.
Now i am in the most amazing city in the world. London is fantastic. When my friend, who had been modelling in London for a while, had heard that i am moving to London he said: It's the beginning of your new life.
It was so true

It's me on the recent Halloween as Edward ScissorHands =)
Shot by my friend Ole Elias Reinholdtsen Høve. He is actually amazing makeup artist. It's his website
